The accelerometer is very useful in tracking when you are drinking and communicating this data to the app.

One “smart” design feature is that the physical tracker of the bottle it’s confined to only work with this water bottle. The tracker can actually be detected and through the use of it’s vacuum and magnetic attachment technology it can be used on any other water bottle with a 3 inch diameter.

The physical bottle is made out of glass but has silicon at the top, bottom and middle to provide you with a ergonomic grip. It’s a very stylish looking bottle with it’s curved design. However, this bottle can only hold 18oz of water, much less than then the 24oz that most other smart bottles can hold. But, than again, the tracker is detachable so it can be secured to a bottle that can hold more water as long as it has a 3 inch diameter at the base. The bottle comes with a option of two color combinations: black/blue or pink/yellow.

This bottle also features a stainless steel screw-on cap. I love that the cap is a screw-on rather and “popping” off at the press of a button. This makes it spill-poof! I’ve had water bottles that have fancy caps that “pop” off and this led to some bad spills in the gym bag...

Overall the bottle is study and seems to be made of high quality materials.

So far the App is only available for iPhone devices but the developers are currently working to make it compatible with Android. It can also sync with your FitBit account if you are using a FitBit fitness tracker. It can also sync to your Apple Health account and is compatible with the Apple Watch.

The app functionality and design are excellent. It has a great user interface and is very easy to navigate. You can view your water consumption overtime on easy to read graphs and set goals for the amount of water you aim to drink each day. You can also see your progress toward your goal throughout the day.

This smart water bottle is similar to the Trago Smart Bottle in that is can help you calculate what your hydration goal should be based on factors like activity, weather, and profile (height, sex, etc.) information.

This smart water bottle will also know if you haven’t beed drinking enough water and notify you to drink more. Overall this hydration tracking app is very through and it does it’s job well!

H2O-Pal does not need to be charged, it uses a basic coin battery that will last about 4 months and is easy to replace. This is a high quality product and the app offers tracking data just like other smart water bottles but is it worth the high price tag? My answer: NO.
