Here are 4 Reasons Why Using Your Body Weight Can Make You Better
There are a few different ways to add resistance to your body to help strengthen your muscles. This is called resistance training. There are many benefits to it that you can look at if you want. However in this post i'm going to tell you a few reasons why using your own body weight to strengthen your muscles is awesome!This is an under used way of training, most people go straight for the machines because they are "better", right? Well no, actually i'm not a fan of the workout machines at all.
- You can do it anywhere, without having to bring along equipment. Sometimes i'll be in a random spot and i'll just feel like working out. You can just get down and start planking or doing pushups or whatever. Every little bit helps.
- The variety is limitless, I hate doing the same things over and over again. I get bored very easily and need to change it up, you can find an endless number of ways to add resistance to particular muscles using your body.
- Body weight strength training works auxiliary muscles which are small muscles used for body control. These aren't muscles that you can really just workout on their own but instead are used trying to stabilize your body when needed. Take planking for instance: Think of how many muscles you are working to just stay steady in addition to the main muscles you are working out.
- It's the most natural form of resistance training, natural workouts are always the best. It will help your general fitness prowess.
