Juicing Solutions for Common Health Problems

Juicing is healthy and it's a great way to get the vital vitamins and minerals your body needs. By juicing you are making all these vitamins and minerals easily absorbable by your body. Some of the health benefits that can result from juicing include reducing your risk of cancer, boosting your immune system, help to remove toxins from your body, help digestion and it can even help you lose weight! Choosing certain combinations of fruits and veggies can give you specific health benefits! Here are examples of different juicing combinations you can try to alive your health issues:

Juicing for the Common Cold

If you feel a cold coming, take action! Get rest, drink lots of fluids and boost your immune system. Here are a few sample recipes:

Recipe 1: 2 oranges, 1 grapefruit, 2 limes,  3 carrots

Recipe 2: ​5 Spinach leaves, 3 carrots, 1 clove of garlic, 1 lemon

Recipe 3: ​1/2 a pineapple, 2 oranges, 1 lime

You can also add certain herbs to teas or juices that can help with your oncoming cold. These include: Astragalus, Cayenne Pepper, Echinacea, Elderflowers and Elderberries, Ginger, Licorice, Peppermint.

Juicing for Headaches

There are many different things that can cause headaches and some people are more prone to them than others. Other than those fruits/veggies we already listed there are also herbs that can be added to increase the power of juicing. These herbs include: ​Cayenne, Evening Primrose Oil, German Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Skullcap, Thyme, Valerian.

Juicing for Constipation

Fruits and veggies that can help with constipation include much more than what we already listed. Apples, Pears, Prunes, Plums, Rhubarb, Beets, Green Leafy Veggies, Leeks, Onions are all great for helping with constipation.

Recipe: 1 cup of strawberries, 1 banana, 2 apples, and 6 prunes

Juicing for Hangovers

It can be easy to over drink on a night of celebration and many of us forget the horrible hangovers that we are later left to deal with. Here is a juicing recipe that can help you get over that hangover.  

Recipe: 2 oranges, 3 carrots, 1 lemon, 2 beets
